My son has been seeing Charlie for his Anxiety/OCD/ADHD 'issues'. Charlie was recommended to us by my son's psychiatrist...which turned out to be a very helpful recommendation for my son. I am finding that it is very helpful to seemingly be able to treat such anxiety/OCD/ADHD 'issues' from a couple of different 'angles'...one being my son's psychiatrist...and the other now being Charlie. It can be difficult to get my son to 'open up'...so that we can better help him in any and every way possible...and it seems that Charlie has been successful in getting my son to 'open up'. Charlie is very 'down-to-earth'/easy to talk to...which is essential is such a situation as my son's. Charlie has also been very accommodating scheduling-wise. We highly recommend Charlie to anyone looking for (further) assistance with any of the aforementioned 'issues'...such as those that my son is dealing with.

Charles is THE best around!! I was apprehensive to meet a new therapist after past experiences that didn’t go well but he instantly made me feel welcome and comfortable. Charles is very accommodating and genuinely cares about his patients. I continue to be impressed by how relatable, friendly, and compassionate he is while still maintaining a high level of professionalism. My only regret is I wish I would have met him sooner.

I have been dealing with harm ocd for the past few years. Mr. Dudley has helped me get over most of my fears with harm ocd. It will require work, but it does work. He also doesn’t just focus on Erp, but looks at many other aspects of your life to see what can be improved. Lastly, he is a caring therapist who I feel comfortable with sharing my more personal issues and insecurities. Would highly recommend!

Our family is truly blessed to of found Dr. Dudley. I was at a complete loss of how to help my adolescent son, once we realized he had been suffering with Trichotillomania for quite some time. Charlie, not only helped my son overcome this disorder, but taught our family techniques on how we could also support him through his difficult journey. During my son’s high school years, Charle continued to help my son with some more personal issues related to a dysfunctional relationship. I consider Charlie much more than a therapist, but a true lifelong family friend. Charlie has even become a mentor for my older son at the University of Iowa. Always eager to give him advice and meet up with him during his college breaks. An exceptional therapist and all around great guy!

I saw Charlie for the last year of my high school back in 2017-2018 (pre COVID!!). My mother and I sought him out since he had good experience with anxiety-related disorders. I cannot put into writing without continuing for paragraphs and paragraphs about the amazing impact Charlie has had on my life. I truly felt so seen, heard, and cared about in every session, whether it was dissecting traumas or just talking about how my life was going. We still keep in contact, which should really demonstrate not only the amazing relationships that Charlie establishes but also the authenticity of the interactions for the entirety of my seeing him. The worst part about therapy with Charlie was that I moved away, and I have truly not had such a meaningful relationship with a therapist since. Thank you for everything!

Charlie was a game changer for me. I always felt that rather than just “treat” me, his aim was to truly understand and help me. Never judging, Charlie helped me understand my OCD/anxiety and take back control. He’s an awesome guy and a dedicated counselor.

I got so lucky with Charlie as the first therapist I ever saw. He is such a down to earth person, and while at first I found it difficult to open up to a new person, I quickly grew comfortable with him and now I can talk to him about anything. He understands and explains my anxiety so well and makes me feel comfortable talking about the issues I’m having. He’s really changed my life for the best, I really don’t know where I’d be without him. I would highly recommend him to anyone with anxiety!!

I first met Charlie when I was the benefits rep for UAW Local 1761. I was helping a member process a medical retirement. I like that he was honest and up front about helping to move the process forward. Later I needed “family” counseling and made the call and started attending sessions with my son. Along with “family” counseling I noticed that I was having my own issues. Charlie help me by letting me talk out my issues and helped me get my life in a better place. Even though I don’t live in Rockford anymore - - I feel comfortable that I could call Charlie and talk to him about what was going on and he would help me anyway he could.

My son was struggling and unhappy. We went to several different counselors, all of whom had no success getting to the root of the problem. Finally, we were referred to Mr. Dudley. He recognized and diagnosed my son’s disorder, and gave him tools to help him manage it. He gave my son back his “spark”. My wife says that it makes her sad to think of all the families with situations like ours who haven’t found or don’t have a Mr. Dudley. I have never been more grateful to someone. He changed our family’s life.

Charles is truly the best person I have ever met! He is a great listener and offers wise advice when needed. He feels more like a friend than a therapist, which I personally love! Would recommend Charles to absolutely in need of therapy.
